He said it..........."we got lucky last year." It is so much easier to get lucky when you pick earlier in the draft and players dropped last year we didn't believe would be available. You make your own luck to some extent when you are fully prepared going into the draft with a clear plan.

Thank god Jeff Ireland took over the draft room and put the brakes on Payton's gambling tendencies. We stick to our board and go BPA(sometimes at a position of need) but we don't reach for a player anymore. Now that I've said that watch Payton make a liar out of me tonight.:roll:

Ireland is correct; build on a strength. I know this won't happen but if another DB drops to us take it.

You got it Beast. Whoever the top pick is we can certainly use them. WR, CB, DT, DE, OL, TE, LB, QB are their anymore?
