Adrian Peterson would 'definitely be open' to Saints return
 

Future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson told NFL.com that he'd "definitely be open" to returning to the New Orleans Saints.

In an interview with NFL.com's Tom Pelissero, Peterson, 33, talks about his desire to return to the field and that, despite his less than stellar stint in New Orleans, he's open to returning to the team.

There are other reclamation projects that are free agents (Demarco Murray, possibly a Weight Watchers Eddie Lacy) that have lower age/mileage than AP. AP is a legend, but it doesn't make sense to retry the reclamation project that already didn't work.

I'm honestly surprised he would even consider the Saints after last year's experiment. Guess there are no other offers coming his way. He was great in his day, but even in his prime I don't think he would have suited the Saints offense.

I say why not? I think Peterson and Kamara would make a good combo. And if Peterson does well enough in the first 4 games, then Ingram could be trade bait.

I tend to agree with you. We can get a replacement for Ingram. Trading him for a pick or two next year since we aren't going to have a 1 next years isn't a bad option.
