I am very excited about our present position. We have all of the tools we need now it's time to mold them to the powerhouse we know we can be!

I feel we are ready to win but so are a lot of other teams. Our division is always tough and teams like the Rams, Eagles, and Vikings are going to be really good again. Should be a fun and very competitive season in the NFC.

I honestly cannot predict how this season will unfold. We have some really really good out of conference opponents that will make for some exciting TV.

We have good depth, acquired nice pieces in Free Agency & a player or two from the 2018 draft could have an immediate impact as we make another "playoff push".

Staying somewhat healthy is key here.

Edit: We aren't that far off fellas. Make another play or two vs Vikes... we are playing Philly for a trip to the SB.

I say one play away and we would've beat Philly but oh well only a memory now. We've got at least 2 more years with Drew and we need to put everything into it to make it count. We will have to rebuild somewhat after he's gone but hell we're all used to that rebuilding crap!

Above average, well on the way to being excellent. And the schedule next year is actually quite favorable, in my view.

The Payton-era Saints historically tend to do well when they get off to a strong start, early in the season -- foot on the gas, pedal to the floor, a strong showing in the early games and a lot of momentum and swagger. The years where the Saints sorta limp along, losing a game here, winning one there, losing the next, winning the next -- those years never end up well for them. They pretty much have to get a head of steam going early if they're going to make it anywhere or make any big noise. There are no gimmes in the NFL, but this particular schedule has a bunch of the 'easier' games lodged in the early part of the schedule, meaning the Saints could easily get off to a 7-1, 8-2 type of start, which bodes VERY well for them down the stretch in the playoff hunt.

I like our chances this coming season, the O-Line needs to block and keep Drew healthy.
The rest will fall into place.

I put above average. I'm enjoying this off season. I like what we did got the 2nd best rated pass rusher in the draft. I also love grabbing the best rated slot CB in Prob, up grade at MLB, added depth to the O line, and brought back Watson. I also like what we didn't do. I would have liked both Suh and to a lesser extent Jimmy G but I'm glad we didn't break the bank for either.

I think things are lookin pretty good right now but they need to figure out why they struggled on third down last season. If they can sustain drives and play defense like they did last season, this could be one of the best teams in franchise history.

Puzzling for me too Utah. Bottom 3rd last year is not what I was used to. When teams took away Michael T, it was over. The lack of production from Willie didn't help either :rolleyes:.

We must do better in 2018 on 3rd down. I think the likes of Meredith & TreQuan will help though.

Not according to NFL Live this past Thursday on ESPN. They were talking about the Saints and how strong they look and they all felt like the Saints would have handled the Eagles had they had not lost to the Vikes.

The Eagles only looked as good as they looked because they were playing a weaker team than what the Saints would have fielded.
