Re: Finding offensive line depth remains one of key questions for Saints this offseason
Last year before the draft I was concerned about O line. NOT this year.

None of our reserves have much experience except for LeReibus who I'm surprised is still on the team after last years bad showing. I just hope we stay healthy! :bng: |

But Bushrod actually bounced back well at right guard in Miami where Jay Ajayi really exploded till he was hurt and Ajayi was traded... I like the idea of having a veteran reserve in Bushrod who can take that LG spot with Peat moving down when Mr. Glass gets hurt again... |
Re: Finding offensive line depth remains one of key questions for Saints this offseason
Was discussing the Saints offensive line at lunch this past week with a retired HS Coach sitting next to us & I shared this observation with him...
The Saints have three legitimate All-Pro Left Tackles candidates on the roster (Peat, Ramczyk, and Armstead (if available))... Coach put his poboy down stared forward, looked back at me and just nodded in acknowledgement, leaving him speechless... |

They've set the bar high as a unit and lost one man, Senio Kelemete - but a huge loss...

Re: Finding offensive line depth remains one of key questions for Saints this offseason
When healthy we have the best line in football. We invested heavily in the last few years with first round draft picks for Peat and Ramczyk. We went out and made a trade for Unger and we signed Warford last year who became a pro bowler under offensive line coach Nielsen to play right guard. And we got a first round talent in Armstead in the third round who slid to the third because of.......you guessed it. Injury concerns!
That is how you build a great O-line. We have gotten a nice return on our investment in the line and it shows in both the running and passing game. |

Still need depth, though. Bushrod < Kelemete |
Re: Finding offensive line depth remains one of key questions for Saints this offseason
Going into last season I thought the offensive line was going to be our biggest problem. Snaps were too low or too high and the QB wasn’t being protected. It became obvious by game 3 that our line was just fine. No reason to think otherwise
