Saints signed RB Shane Vereen, formerly of the Giants. This is our first blurb on Vereen since last Week 17, showing just how little interest he had as a free agent the previous four months. Now 29, Vereen didn't make much of an impact in his three years with the Giants after spending the first four in New England. A satellite back who offers very little as a runner, Vereen has 221 career catches for 1,865 yards and 11 scores. He's no lock to make the Saints' roster and is only insurance behind Alvin Kamara and company.
