Boston Scott is Gonna Kill It

Watching his highlights, he is a perfect fit for this team. He has that ability like Sproles with the smaller frame where he can always squeeze forward for another 2-3 yards in most situations. He is also very strong and has a great leaping ability like Kamara. He won't be hurdling anyone but that leaping ability means push off power to get the step on a defender. Speed is also good.

I think people are sleeping on him since he did not go to a big school but if you watch his highlights, they would use him like a normal RB, even GL runs no problem. I think he will edge out West and Vareen when the season kickoffs. I don't even think Vareen will make the cut to be honest.

Boston's way onto the Saints team (53 man roster) will begin as a PR/KR & special teams.

Bye bye, Ingram!

Scott doesn't see the field as a tailback till he can earn Brees' and coaches' trust to know his blocking assigments...

And you can't send him in telegraphing to the opposition it's a run play because he can't pass block...

But if he gets the pass blocking down, early, he'll definitely be Ingram's replacement after we win it all...

He can block. Much stronger than Sproles ever was. I'm telling you, people are sleeping on him. He's very powerful. Probably more so than most RB's in the legs. He has the ability to buy time. Not some flashy skatback. Sproles, but slightly bigger and much stronger physically.

Beast, don't doubt Scott's physical abilities. As I posted on another thread, for me, he evokes memories of a Joe Morris-type RB (Parcells G'nats 80s RB)...

No, I was referring to how fast he learns the offense, more specifically, how fast he learns his reads with regards to his blocking assignments...

We may've drafted a 3rd rd RB in the R6, but with the late veteran FA signings (e.g. Vereen, West), wondering if coaches are hedging...

As you've mentioned before, you cannot have too many RB options. We learned that lesson the hard way. ;p
