Rookie Saints offensive linemen Will Clapp, Rick Leonard in different places to this point in camp
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Don't want to see a fourth round pick bust, especially with what was still in the draft pool at the time......

I know you are extremely enamored with the draft, but personally, as soon as a player hits the roster I really don't care in what round they were drafted or how many picks were used as it is in the past ... water under the bridge.

...especially because I'd love to have the option of moving Ramczyk to left tackle and move on from Mr. Glass... Get the idea that you can be un-drafted and still become a great player, John Randle comes to mind, but this is the age of salary cap, a shortened draft... You gotta get it right through the first four rounds to be competitive, evidenced by last season's success with improved coaching, but last year's draft as well... But, you can be right and wrong within just a few picks so I included this as a playful jab at ourselves and for perspective... Who the Hell is Mel Kiper?  |
