Stupar is likely on speed dial. Veteran cuts for the first week of the season may not be permanent. Veterans who are on the roster for the first game are guaranteed their entire year's salary. So often vets are not on the initial 53 for the first game and then are brought back later on an as needed basis.

We saw this with Kuhn his last year here. He bounced in and out of the lineup for the entire season IIRC.

This was the only cut I thought was a head scratcher. But I guess they need running backs because of the Ingram situation.
