9 points against the Bucs too.
Best thing about this year is our health. Not that you could tell last Sunday. |

Um....well if we lose again it'll be another "shock" to the NFL world. Lol.

As much as I hate to say it, the Saints knew that the Bucs were week 1 on a schedule, are a divisional rival, and had all offseason to prep for a crucial division matchup on home turf. The result didn't look like that prep was serious. So what exactly does that say about our squad, especially the coaching? SFIAH |

The Saints took a punch in the mouth from the Bucs early and that young defense looked rattled. Hopefully it is a learning experience. There is better overall talent on this year's defense than what was on last year's. Making season long judgments based upon one game is futile. I will continue to look for and hope for the best. Don't forget, many of the same people destroying the Saints on the forum today are the same ones lambasting them after each of the first two games last season claiming they had no chance to better the 7-9's of the past. :bng: |

Losing on opening day at your place to a divisional foe could be the difference in playing at home throughout the playoffs or playing on the road.
What was more frustrating is that we lost while putting 40 points on the board. Lots to clean up on defense. |
Re: USA Today/The Saints Wire: Saints Open As 9-Point Favorites Over Browns In Week 2
Surprised by this. 9 points seems to be a lot coming off last week's disappointment vs a team that actually didn't lose last week vs top competition. I mean, could you imagine how ugly it would have been if we played the Steelers week 1?

40 plus points at home. That is just embarrassing. The score doesn’t tell the whole story either. They looked lost. The Bucs would have put up another 2 scores if they didn’t start playing conservative.

Don't agree with this being overreaction when Sean Payton teams continue to flop out the box every season since he won a title and life-time job security...
