Rocky,

Terrarium is still alive and kicking. I uninstalled it on my Nvidia Shield & re installed the new version last night. Movies still work fine.

A good backup APK is Tea TV. Not quite Terrarium but it's close.

Terrarium won't be open source.
TeaTv is pretty good with a vpn.

It just sucks because Terrarium was damn near perfect.
