Week 4 vs NYG

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; NYG is pretty bad, and pretty much what we need right now. Their O-line is a liability, and their D just average. Pretty much Barkley and Beckham and very little beyond that. Engram is probably out. Need to get win ...

Re: Week 4 vs NYG

I really think that most of the members here would have been satisfied coming out of the first three games 2-1, although most would have expected that loss to be to the Failclowns in Atlanta. We should be at 3-1 following the first quarter of the season.

Sure, but I don't think they would have been satisfied allowing 103 points. Basically 34 points per game. It also impoetant how the team plays.

I understand that, but don't forget how they completely turned it around last year. It can be done.

It can, especially because a lot of it seems to be confusion and communication

Exactly! The talent is absolutely there. It has always been said that the most important factor to a successful secondary is communication. Complexity can lead to a lack of communication. Every player has to be on exactly the same page or it makes all of them look bad. It's not always the fault of the defender that's chasing the wide open opponent down the field.

Are you trying to say 18-1... Again?

I'm finally going to be able to use this...

As of right now it is a possibility. I keep my hopes alive. There isn't a team in the league that the Saints cannot beat. I'll guarantee you that Drew Brees is planning on winning the next sixteen straight.

Sure.....but playing better football on defense.

30th in total defense and dead last in points... Not what most members here expected.

Considering how we've played, I'll take 3-1 all day long. But things have to turn around because the meat of our season is almost here.
