He should ask for a lot of money. :)

Yeah what is with this guy not finding consistent teams? He's a decent CB. Glad he's coming for a visit. Immediate upgrade over Williams/Crawley.

And really....wtf happened to Crawley anyway? He was solid last year. This year he can't do a damn thing. And I don't want the defensive line excuse.

It has to be a personality problem.

I think, at least to some percentage, our pitiful play on the dline hurts more than it seems few are willing to accept.

Maybe to some percentage. But c'mon. Its completely unrealistic to expect the defensive line to get "pressure" on all or even most plays.

Here's the kicker.

Williams was getting burned so bad, the benched him and put Crawley in. Then Crawley was getting torched so bad, the took Lat off Julio and put him on the Ridley. A play or so later, Crawley gets torched by Julio Jones.

Lat wasn't getting torched, and he was playing with the same damn defensive line in front of him.

I don't buy the d-line BS. I understand that it can be a factor. But I just don't buy that's it's THE REASON or even most of it. NFW.

Exactly. Lattimore was on one of the best receivers of all time and still wasn’t getting torched. Has anybody ever heard of a “coverage sack”? Probably not since we never cause them.

I haven't lost faith in Crawley but he do need to earn the right to be starter. P.J. need to switch to free safety

Moore is better than PJ... not sure he is better than Crawley.
What I do know is we need to play more cover 2 with shallow safeties.

A hot dog turd is better than PJ. He should of been released two years ago.

Why did we not get involvd

On March 14, 2018, the Chiefs traded Marcus Peters and a 2018 sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams for a 2018 fourth-round pick and a 2019 second-round pick.On April 24, the Rams exercised the fifth-year option on Peters' contract

Moore has that swagger, that dog in him. It’s something that compliments a players talent and skills.

I think we should put Taysom Hill on as Strong Safety against passing plays, Middle Linebacker against running plays, Slot receiver on offense for five yard outs , and Tight End for going across the middle. Also, he should cook at Emeril's, organise Mardi Gras and run a lemonade stand.

Because he will command a new contract soon that will make him the best paid CB ever. We allready have Lattimore that will command top dollar down the road.

Well, we could've signed CB Colvin as a free agent.
Aaron Colvin, DB for the Houston Texans at NFL.com
Or maybe not... he's injured now.

I think we have no choice make some cuts and bring in anyone promising to try out or make some deals.

I think we do have a choice. For the most part this is the same defensive personnel from last year. It's not like they've forgot to play football.

Allen needs to reign it in for a bit and put the defensive backfield in coverages that keeps receivers in front of our safeties. Trusting Williams and Bell to cover up the mistakes of Crawley and Williams when they get suckered simply isn't working. The defense will give up chunk plays to be sure. But it's the balls over the top for the 50+ yards TDs that are currently killing us.

Something like a pure Cover-2 or Cover-2/Man under will force teams to matriculate down the field. The more we do that, the more likely we'll get a 3rd down stop, or a turnover, or force a field goal.

Somehow we need to force underneath throws and keep everything in front. That's the way to win.

In 3 games, the Saints defense has one turnover. That puts us on pace for 6 for the entire season  .

With all of the issues we have defending the long ball, the defense has to be able to create turnovers if you expect to win long term.

I’m not convinced Jason David isn’t better than P.J.

DA is out thinking his own players. Go back to what worked last year.

The D-Line was great Sunday. I’m fact, the whole front seven is playing very well.

Our defense is currently 6th against the run in terms of yards. We’re 1st in YPC.

That's because no one needs to run.

D line or Rankins are problems.

Saints currently rank #1 against the run in terms of yards per carry. No way we are that stout up front without good play from Rankins.

Footnote - It could just be me but the Saints D line seems to be more cohesive since Davison has been out the last 2 games.
