Drew Brees named NFC Player of the Week
1 Attachment(s)
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees' performance last Sunday had several of his teammates calling him the greatest of all time after the game, and on Wednesday, he received an award that showed how impressive he was in the win.
The NFL announced Wednesday morning that Brees was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3. In Sunday's 43-37 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Brees was 39 of 49 for 396 yards and three passing touchdowns, and he scored two rushing touchdowns, one that tied the game late in the fourth quarter and one that won the game in overtime. This is the 23rd time Brees has won a conference player of the week award, according to the NFL. The future Hall of Famer will look to have another big game Sunday when the Saints travel to play the New York Giants. https://expo.advance.net/img/dd1a4ba...s20184211.jpeg NOLA |
Re: Drew Brees named NFC Player of the Week
Congrats to Brees. He's GREAT.
Side note - I wonder if Brees played in the AFC, say the Pats ... would he have at least 4, 5 World Titles by now? |

Brees completed passes to nine different targets against the Falcons. That's how the train runs its best! Take some of that pressure off Thomas and Kamara. Let's save them for crunch time.

Re: Drew Brees named NFC Player of the Week
Imagine Brees having played with a middle of the pack defense since ‘06, how many championships would he have. Think about every year he threw for over 5,000 yards. Think about last year. I’d say atleast 8 years, poor defenses have kept Drew out of the G.O.A.T discussions.

Re: Drew Brees named NFC Player of the Week
Think about it where we would be right now if Drew signed on in Miami.
I doubt we would have won a Superbowl probably SP would have gone to Dallas and we would have had a carousel of Coaches. Lord knows we could have had Mike "the Ratman" Smith at the helm. And QB's yeah we would have had all the Billy & Bobby Joes that we scrounged around the league. So you see Katrina came and changed New Orleans forever but so did this displaced QB from San Diego... |
