Just listened to Drew tell Reggie on NFL Network that even if we win the Superbowl this year he plans to keep on playing.

OK. Brees is going to be Brees for a few more years. Any estimates as to his final numbers? I say 90k is well within his reach, especially if the Saints can be a consistent Super Bowl contender with long play-off runs for the remainder of his career.

I personally think that Brees sees the current roster as something really special. Solid O & D lines. Talent at corner and safety positions. The best receiver he's ever played with, and solid at #2 and #3. Possibly one of the best running backs to ever play.

That, along with a mighty big pay check, is awfully hard to walk away from.

He's got too many records to break to retire. That includes all of his own records that he is still breaking. He has a couple of more good years in him before he even would be considered as a game manager, which could still win us a Super Bowl.

That’s good for all the obvious reasons, but also because if he retired after this season we’d have $21 million in dead cap for 2019 just from Brees alone.
