Sullivan bites hand open!

New Orleans Saints DT Johnathan Sullivan is working hard, according to head coach Jim Haslett. Sullivan, now entering his third season, has battled weight issues since he entered the league. Haslett wouldn't divulge Sullivan's weight. "We won't weigh until minicamp," Haslett said. "He's been here working out every day. He hasn't done a lot of lifting because of his hand (cut tendon). He's going to do that pretty soon, but he is working hard."

Is he losing weight cause his hurt hand doesn't allow him to pick up as much food? OR is he losing weight cause since he can't lift, his muscle(and I am just guessing he had some before) is turning to fat, which weighs less? :wink:

I heard an interview with Sully, and he says he weighs 325.
He also said he's going to give better effort this year. I guess being the 6th overall pick in the draft, and signing a multi-million dollar contract, while a team puts it's hopes on you to help stop the run isn't motivation enough for some.

I have little, if any, confidence in this guy. He has not shown that he has enough heart (or brains) to play in the NFL. I really hope he shows up this year and actually tries to play, but I'm not buying this "I'm weighing in at 325" crap. He's labeled as a "Bust" until he proves otherwise.

sounds better than last year but i don't know how much of a comfort that is
