Time For More...

POWER RANKINGS!!!

I know you're all very excited:

Quote:

4. New Orleans Saints
Record: 5-1
Week 7 ranking: 4

Need more from: CB Marshon Lattimore. The Saints are 5-1 despite a defense giving up 27.2 points per game (sixth most in the NFL) and a pass defense giving up 294 yards per game through the air (fifth most). The Saints have forced just five turnovers all season, tied for second fewest in the NFL, and Lattimore has no interceptions after picking off five passes last year. -- Schwartz

Does this guy think Lattimore can cover every receiver? Can Lattimore get to the QB faster?

Re: Time For More...

Need more from Lattimore? How about we need something, anything from Ken Crawley. John Brown was targeted 7 times, had 7 catches 134 yards (19 ypc) & a TD. He's been burned time and time since week #1. PJ Williams is no better (passing interference & whiffing on tackles). Both of these guys have the same disease.

Lattimore is keeping his guys out of the end zone.

Schwartz must only be watching ESPN highlights on the Saints secondary.

Agreed. But last game was the first time I've seen the defensive line get almost zero pressure the entire game. Crawley is going to get picked on for the rest of the season. He's just not doing well.

We broke up. I was okay with her liberalness, but she couldn't tolerate my lack thereof. She kept protesting me. I'm a free agent once again!

Hard to ask more of Lattimore, he nearly had his first pick of the season until Marcus Williams ran into him.

Ah the free agent life. It's a simple life. A free life. A drama free life where a man can do as he pleases. I remember those days.

Testing the market.. Brave strategy there Cotton. Lets see how that works out.

Oh you cant play for two teams... But you shouldn't wait until you are hungry to figure out what you want to eat.

You could end up with something unhealthy.:bng:

True, but when that Chili you ate causes you to hire a lawyer, you stop eating it for a while. I'm eating well these days and choosing my restaurants wisely. LOL

Well my scouting department was fired long ago - I just couldn't escape the ridiculous contract right away. I'm well under the cap these days...and doing my own scouting. :chug:

Dating a liberal? Proves some people will do anything for their Johnson.

Deuce mentioned this on his podcast ... there have been 3 games this season where Jordan has been blocked by three different people (RT, RB & TE). You shouldn't be rushing so few defenders that your star player is negated. The Defensive Coordinator must do a better job of aligning players in position to make plays.

All eyes on Dennis Allen.

It's like he's so worried about being burned on the back-end that he totally negates the front that can do some damage. Hopefully the addition of Apple will force him to start bringing the pressure again.

When I see we only have 3 down linemen on plays, without a blitzing linebacker or safety, it's a sure bet we won't get QB pressure, QB will get 10 seconds in the pocket, and a deep passes completion on the corners is practically guaranteed.

I hate it when that happens.

Re: Time For More...

He doesn't understand football as well as he thinks he does. Interceptions are an overrated stat when it comes to a defensive back. All I want to know is how often passes are completed when you're in direct coverage, how many yards are you giving up, and MOST importantly, how many TD's are being scored on you. In regards to Marshon Lattimore? 1 TD...Mike Evans...one of the top 5 to 10 talents at his position. Lattimore has been just fine this year.

Precisely.

Flacco had about 6, 7 solid seconds (final scoring drive) to dissect the defense & go through his progressions. You give Cousins, Goff, & Ryan that type of time ... expect to get carved up. I can't expect even elite corners to hold their man that long. Someone will get open.

I hope we see adjustments going forward.
