Re: Time For More...
Does this guy think Lattimore can cover every receiver? Can Lattimore get to the QB faster?
|
Re: Time For More...
Need more from Lattimore? How about we need something, anything from Ken Crawley. John Brown was targeted 7 times, had 7 catches 134 yards (19 ypc) & a TD. He's been burned time and time since week #1. PJ Williams is no better (passing interference & whiffing on tackles). Both of these guys have the same disease.
Lattimore is keeping his guys out of the end zone. Schwartz must only be watching ESPN highlights on the Saints secondary. |

Hard to ask more of Lattimore, he nearly had his first pick of the season until Marcus Williams ran into him.

Re: Time For More...
When I see we only have 3 down linemen on plays, without a blitzing linebacker or safety, it's a sure bet we won't get QB pressure, QB will get 10 seconds in the pocket, and a deep passes completion on the corners is practically guaranteed.
I hate it when that happens. |
Re: Time For More...
He doesn't understand football as well as he thinks he does. Interceptions are an overrated stat when it comes to a defensive back. All I want to know is how often passes are completed when you're in direct coverage, how many yards are you giving up, and MOST importantly, how many TD's are being scored on you. In regards to Marshon Lattimore? 1 TD...Mike Evans...one of the top 5 to 10 talents at his position. Lattimore has been just fine this year.

Flacco had about 6, 7 solid seconds (final scoring drive) to dissect the defense & go through his progressions. You give Cousins, Goff, & Ryan that type of time ... expect to get carved up. I can't expect even elite corners to hold their man that long. Someone will get open. I hope we see adjustments going forward. |
