Four CBs not named Patrick Peterson the Saints could trade for

New Orleans Saints fans had their usual, peaceful Victory Monday upturned by reports that Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson, a former LSU Tigers legend and NFL all-star, wanted out of the desert. That’s cool enough, but things intensified when it came out that Peterson specifically wants to join the Saints.

But what if New Orleans can’t make it happen? They have the resources to swing this blockbuster trade, sure, but what if Arizona refuses to give in to Peterson’s request? We knew already that the Saints are looking hard at cornerbacks throughout the league, so here’s four names to follow in case a big move for Peterson doesn’t materialize before next Tuesday’s trade deadline.

I'd probably eliminate Conley ... Gruden wants 1st rd picks in return.

Chris Harris Jr is also a guy I like. Some will say he is primarily a "slot corner" but as the article states, he's become a well rounder corner. Would be a huge upgrade @ #2 for us.

Not really high on Eli Apple but he is a Ohio State guy

so there's that.

Apple struggled against the Falcons last night. That's a big negative for us. I'm surprised they don't have at least one of the Jaguars corners on this list.

Like 1 play against Julio Jones from what I hear. Jones has a tendency to do that.

Watching the highlights, looks like Apple gave up one 3rd down completion which was close and highly contested. Ryan didn’t throw much his way.
