Joe Flacco to Sean Payton: your brother sold me a mattress

The New Orleans Saints had just beaten the Baltimore Ravens in shocking fashion. Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, one of the NFL’s most-reliable, had missed an opportunity to tie by shanking the first extra-point attempt of his career.

Naturally, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco wanted to cross the field and congratulate Saints head coach Sean Payton on his win – and chat about that time he bought a mattress from Payton’s brother, Tom.

Flacco: “You know I thought I’d see you one of these preseasons, but I’m down buying a mattress at the Jersey Shore and I’m buying a mattress, and I’m buying it from your brother.”

Payton: “My brother, holy cow.”

Flacco: “Yeah, down by like Avalon, Stone Harbor.”

Payton: “Yeah we used to go to Ocean City almost every summer.”

Flacco: “Yeah man I’m getting something, I walk into his place and he’s like ‘you know who I am, do I look like familiar?’ and I’m like holy, you know what you actually do!”

Payton: “Don’t tell him he looks like me!”

Flacco: “He had a little resemblance, hahaha, I just wanted to tell you that.”

Juts a weird, weird, scenario.
