Is anyone really surprised by this?!?
Perspective - In 2011 when Brees broke Dan Marino's season passing record, leading all passers that season as well as Dan Fout's passing yards per game, season record; Aaron Rodgers was awarded the MVP because the argument was Rodgers was more accurate... Brees leads Mahomes in accuracy and QBR this season, so what will be the argument this year to deny Brees an MVP? Look, I drafted Mahomes in a FFL I've been in for twenty years, and I love my squad this year, Mahomes Boys, but it's 16 games and let's not give in to NYC media hype. Let's let it play out and then decide... |

Not saying the kid does not deserve it as of now but it blows my mind all of the seasons Brees has just destroyed NFL standards year after year without a MVP. They even gave it to Cam. Brees is by far the most under rated QB in history unless your WhoDat Nation and we know how great the man is and that's all that matters to me.

You guys are too hardcore for me. Honestly the thought about who would win the MVP never crossed my mind until this thread was made. It doesn't even matter to me nor do I think Brees even gives it a second thought. We continue to play well and all those things like awards and personal achievements will just fall in place. Superbowl or bust. I'm willing to bet an MVP award wouldn't cushion the disappointment if we fell short again.
With that said, he's playing the best ball of his career at the age of 39. It would be well deserved. Mahomes is on his way of becoming the new face of the NFL. I'd buy a ticket to watch him play. It's shouldn't be any surprise that someone feels he's deserving of the award as well. The Chiefs are playing great football too. |

Don't really think Brees cares that much about the MVP title he wants another SB ring. Don't think he even listens to this type of mealy mouth want be sportscaster who really doesn't deserve to be where he is today if not for his daddy whom by the way wasn't that much of a QB an was always a under performer. If the kid wins it more power to him.
