Out of all the defensive players in the NFC, he was awarded this? I know he had that pick but Thielen had a field day against him. Congrats to him and to our Saints, I just don't see it.

Thielen has field days against lots of players. Still think PJ is bad but in his defense those receivers were making tremendous plays even in tight coverage.

Most people are looking at the current defenses in a vacuum. We only see our players getting burned. The fact is it is happening all across the league. All the new rules give the offenses a great advantage and play calling is also becoming far more aggressive. The mismatches from the slot are killers for everyone. The nickle is being forced to cover the x or y shifting inside much more regularly. We're using that move ourselves with Michael Thomas quite a bit.

Good for PJ. Hopefully this can serve as a confidence boost for him. Confidence is more important for DB/CBs than any other position IMHO.

Thielen is the best WR in the NFL right now. Still had over 100 yds but, it was the 2nd least amount to date. Expecting more out of PJ in that situation is asking for a miracle. He was going to get burned. He did but also redeemed himself so I will take it and run.

Ummm...it wasn't just Theilen. Diggs tore him up as well. If Cousins didn't throw the ball RIGHT to PJ and actually threw it to Diggs, PJ would have been burned again. The write up from rotoworld says it like it is. Him and Crawley are 2 peas in a pod. Neither NEVER turn there head, they are always 2 steps behind, which results in PI's because they are just running through the receivers. Happy he got an award but I can not imagine he is proud of it, if he is being honest with himself.

Really? I mean it's great and all but they abused him all day and he got somewhat lucky on a miscommunication.

In his coverage he allowed 8 for 8, 112 yards and 2 TD's.

I was cussing at him and Payton all the first half wondering why Crawley was not active instead of him. He is terrible but I have to admit he made up for it. I don't understand why Vikings quit throwing to whoever he was covering but im glad they did.

It's very unfortunate that our true slot guy is on IR. Anyone remember last year who manned the slot vs the Rams? ... Kenny V and it was fugly.

I hope PJ has had a good week of film study, practice & treatment because those passes (Woods is a slot guy on 1st down) will be coming his way all day.

He had decent coverage on some really great catches. Maybe he won't be a liability the rest of the season from the slot. I'm surprised......but I miss P Rob!

Some of ya'll are acting like PJ is total garbage; those receivers for Minnesota are pretty much among the best in the NFL, this year, the best of the best of the best. You saw those insane catches they made in the first quarter, right?

I am not acting like anything, look at his performance numbers, his rating graded against the other CB's in the league. He is not good...just like Crawley is not good. They have there moments here and there and then go right back to who they are. I am not wearing my black and gold glasses on these 2.

Just looked, he is rated the 109th CB in the NFL!! Sorry bro, he is bad.

Announcement: PJ Williams has replaced Marshon Lattimore as the Saints #1 CB. According to Payton, "PJ Williams was just outplaying everyone in practice this week. I really think this gives us the best chance to win going forward." Coach Payton declined to comment on the white powdery substance under his nose.
