...and this, my good friends, is why we should not have traded Alex Okafor or any pass rusher at the trade deadline...

Son of a b man.... I'm glad it's not season ending, but this really sucks. I just hope Okafor can play like the same guy from last year. Hendrickson needs to step up big time too. All the race reviews from training camp and preseason translated to zilch when the regular season hit. Time to earn it son.

Why can’t we have nice things?! I feel ok about it though because Trey Hendrickson can get some playing time now and I think he’ll contribute.

Tough slate of LT’s coming up too with Andrew Whitworth and Jason Peters.

A following report from Rapoport confirmed the worst: Davenport is expected to miss “about a month” with this toe injury. Despite playing through it against the Vikings, tests advised Davenport remain in a walking boot for November before reassessment.

This couldn’t have come at a worse time for the Saints. They host the undefeated Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, and will be without one of their best pass rushers.

Naw ... the worst possible time is late November/December. Davenport needs to heal properly. Don't want to kill a rookies career over a few games.

Unless there are setbacks, we'll have him back for the stretch & subsequent playoff run. The more crucial games (divisional opponent) is Carolina in mid December.

I really hope so. He showed a lot of promise throughout the offseason, but he played pretty badly those first couple of games. Granted, there was plenty of blame to go around on defense at the time. Some of it was definitely on him though. Maybe riding the bench in street clothes for a few weeks reignited his fire. Hoping to see Okafor step it up too.

I was about to post pretty much the same reply from beginning to end.

I'd like to add that the defense as a whole is beginning to gel and while Davenport will be missed, he still wasn't totally implemented into the offense. He was still rotational. We'll still have a very solid rotation, perhaps a tad bit less explosive at times.

Sounds like it might be a fracture if its that timespan. Hopefully it is because then once it is healed it is healed.
