Bing predicts the Saints
Los Angeles Rams (8-0) @ New Orleans Saints (6-1)
Los Angeles Rams @ New Orleans Saints Game time: Sunday, Nov. 4, 4:25 p.m. EST Historical matchup: Los Angeles Rams lead series 41-33 The Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints are the NFC’s two best teams. The Rams are undefeated and off to their best start since 1969, while the Saints haven’t lost since Week 1. One team’s winning streak will come to an end in New Orleans on Sunday. The Rams faced their toughest task of the season last week when they narrowly beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers 29-27. The Rams might be 7-1 if not for a Ty Montgomery fumble on a kick return that denied Rodgers the chance at a game-winning drive. Running back Todd Gurley II is in the midseason MVP conversation. He leads the NFL in scrimmage yards (1,151) and touchdowns (15). The Saints proved Sunday that they don’t necessarily need to rely on Drew Brees every week. The MVP candidate threw for only 120 yards in the 30-20 victory, the lowest total he has amassed in a full game since he signed with New Orleans 13 years ago. Both teams utilize innovative offensive schemes, which is a big part of why they’ve been so successful. The Saints in particular have found success incorporating Taysom Hill, the dual-threat quarterback who also returns kicks, and will surely use him to confuse a dangerous Rams defense that just got better after acquiring Dante Fowler at the trade deadline. No two teams averaging 33 points-per-game or more have ever met this late in the season. This one is going to be fun. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl...anntp#image=22 |
Re: Bing predicts the Saints
For me ...
Saints are the most confident team in the league. Team. We are playing great as a unit. They aren't scared of the Lambs. Great challenge though & if I'm Dennis Allen I'm going after Goff. I refuse to believe he is elite as some "experts" say he is. This team is the real deal & they see the game as another road block & opportunity to take the next step. Watch for the analysis & "experts" jump on the Saints bandwagon after we put up a dubya in the dome. Bring it. |
Re: Bing predicts the Saints
Goff is a good QB and the Rams are a well coached team. As you say DA has to bring the heat and keep Goff pressured.
On the other side Drew will need the O-line to give him those extra seconds. Our newly adopted unpredictable Offense should keep the Rams guessing all day. |
Re: Bing predicts the Saints
Our run D much stronger than the Packers. They kept Gurley in check for much of the game but things eventually fell apart. Packers could have won the game if not for the fumble. Rams could not stop Rogers in the second half. I think the game looks similar. Slow start then last one to have the ball thing.

Re: Bing predicts the Saints
Cupcake schedule. They’re going down just as the previous 6 did.

Re: Bing predicts the Saints
I have a lot of concerns on how we're going to defend Gurley, Woods, Cooks, and Kupp. That said, you go with the home team in these types of match ups. Home field advantage is BIG here. Dome should be rockin'. Loud noise, long drives, and we win at home.
If last week wasn't a big enough statement game, this one sure as hell will be. https://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/13e...=1680&fit=crop It's time for these boys to show up, show out, and get that swag back. |
Re: Bing predicts the Saints
This will be a tough game in the trenches but I think we hand them their first loss.

Re: Bing predicts the Saints
I bet neither team scores over 17 points. 8 times out of 10 when you have a game like this that everyone expects to be high scoring it’s not for one reason or another. Bet it’s sloppy but Saints turn it on in the 4th.
