Saints sign Dez Bryant

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Looking forward to his addition. Like that its a 1 year term so he can prove himself. Hope it turns out to be a solid signing that improves the team!

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Da Man wants Da Ring...
Considering the talking heads' standard (gotta have a couple of rings), if it works out as planned, Dez can go out as one of the greats. Considering how Brees is playing, most receivers would give their left nut to play for the Saints. |
Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Question for the forum ...
Who gets cut ? Carr? Does Meredith move to IR? Or possibly an O lineman? I know it's Wednesday but any chance we see Dez play on Sunday? |
Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
We just went from solid to dangerous on offense. We are going to be hell to stop from here on out and advance props to any team that can do it. Welcome aboard Dez. The #9 train bound for Atlanta just put more wood on the fire!

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
One cool thing about the signing is the Cowboys still have $8,000,000 in dead money from Dez's contract. So when the Saints go to Dallas it'll be nice knowing that 4.3% of their salary cap is standing on the Saints sideline.

There's not enough meh in the whole world to describe how I feel about this move. Hope it works out, not expecting it will.

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
The league just ****ed up letting us sign Dez Bryant.

Great signing. Legit option on 3rd down and big red zone threat.

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
What will teams do inside the 20 when we line up with Thomas and Watson and Kamara/Ingram and Dez? Whew!!!

11 personnel for Brees is now Kamara/Ingram, Watson/J. Hill/T. Hill, Thomas, T. Smith, and Dez. And yes I believe that Dez is last on this list. Couple that with both the best QB in the business and the best O-line in the league, and I see a lot of helpless defenses down the stretch. The only weakness in the entire setup is that T. Hill has not yet proven that he can catch the ball. This is based on his drop on Sunday. SFIAH |
Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
If Dez (still has a high skill set) is your 3rd or even 4th option ...
Kind of hard for me to complain about that as a Saints fan. |

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
The #Saints would like to see Dez Bryant get down about 5 more lbs but liked what they saw at workout. He’s been training w WR coach David Robinson working on his hip flexibility, foot quickness in short area spaces, intermediate route running and attacking routes harder

If we could Make Ted Ginn look good I know Dez will be fine

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
I'm on board with the "hope it works out" mentality. It's low risk for sure and worth the gamble. If it does then the Saints FO look like geniuses and if it doesn't it cost us next to nothing as an experiment. So I'll chalk it up to worthy of a try with no downside. We have a strong leadership base and locker room.

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Sean Payton has started to draw plays up on cocktail napkins again.

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Now that's it done, what I can tell you is that the Saints vetted Dez Bryant hard months ago. Was told team cleared it through some players. They even asked Jason Witten and Tony Romo for their thoughts. He's been on the radar. Payton loves him.

Not a bad gig; first day on the job and your 7-1.

Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Hopefully Dez is matched up against safeties & #2 corners in the slot (played a bit back in 2016) . I'm not looking for him to be great, however defenses needs to know he's there and will command attention. Or maybe SP swaps him on the outside from time to time.
Having Mike, AK, Tre & now Dez on the field at the same time ... that could be a tall order for defenses to diagnose. Can't wait to see how this unfolds on offense. |

Don’t expect it to happen for at least 2-3 games but Dez will make an impact and eventually a multi score game |

Hey money doesn’t buy championships Heart does that. That loss will affect that defense maybe not this week but down the road in another high stakes game suh and crew will let up and that’s when u punch um out the playoffs |
Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Good Lord that’s a nice deal for us! Dez turned down around $6 million/year from the Ravens in the offseason. |
Re: Saints sign Dez Bryant
Dez is looking for his ring and that’s all; plus the Cowboys are still paying him 8 mil this year I believe

This is why it wasn't about the money. Dez already has his money. If I were him, I'd be going for the ring too. Imagine how much he'd be worth when the Saints make it to the SB and he generates a TD catch or two on the way to winning. SFIAH |
