Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
So what are your thoughts? Admittedly I didn’t watch a single second of any Seahawks games this season so I don’t know how he looked with them. |
Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
If motivated he could help

Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
I’m intrigued.

Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
Even before Dez Bryant tore his Achilles on Friday, the New Orleans Saints were considering bringing back veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall this week as another complimentary player, league sources tell ESPN.
New Orleans Saints liked Brandon Marshall before Dez Bryant injury, expected to try to sign ex-Seahawks WR |
Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
Really, who's providing counsel in reviewing the medicals (i.e. Meredith) to make these decisons on signing players?

I think Marshall will be motivated to join & play well with the Saints. |

Gives us another weapon. If he isn't motivated by a potential Superbowl win then he should be playing basketball with 6 year old girls!

My money is on Kirkwood

Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
Makes sense
Could you imagine if we had signed both. Red Zone/3rd down Marshall, Bryant wide, Thomas Slot Kamara at RB |
Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
Still moving forward with signing Marshall. |
Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
After the first week on fantasy football he started to plunge downward. Maybe, playing on a playoff bound team he will elevate his game.

Who do we drop? Is Kirkwood going back to the practice squad?

Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
How does Dez count against the salary cap now?

Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
SP just took out another WR Insurance Policy, injuries can pile up fast at that position.
As far as Marshall he's been on some dismal teams the last few years. As for the Seahawks, Pistol Pete cleaned house everybody left for good or bad teams. |

Fortunately he's a smart rookie. He plays. He does his job. He blocks. And he doesn't complain about it. I believe he understands that if Thomas or Kamara or Ingram or Watson are open, Brees will get them the ball because they are higher up the progression tree than he is. Brees only has 9 sacks this season, and none in the last 3 games, because he throws the ball to the first open guy in the progression. That's why I think Marshall's contribution will be about as insignificant as the other WR. Thomas lives up to his Twitter handle: CantGuardMike. SFIAH |

Re: Saints to Sign WR Brandon Marshall This Week
Marshall may not have a ton left, however #9 and SP will get the absolute most out of him. The level of play always increases in NO with our QB & HC regardless of playing time, age or ability.
Depth, a proven vet and large big body frame for red zone targets. This could open up for slot guys & TE down the road. Welcome to NO Brandon :bng: |

Drews has a long history of making the average receiver good and the good great. With @cantguardmike we now see what he can do with better than good. All Drew needs is a receiver who can understand the offense and get on the same page as he is, which is no small task. So, assuming Marshall has something between the ears besides air, he'll make a contribution. |
