Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
I get not liking the pre-game energy of the players and all that, but this was a dumb way to wake them up. |
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Did he use a helmet?
|
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
it worked
|
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Did he set it off or was it blaring for minutes on end as they worked to get ready?
|
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
It’s illegal and a terrible waste of first responder’s time and resources.

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
WAIT FOR IT! WAIT FOR IT!!!

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Apparently it was going off pregame for several minutes. Guess he had enough of it. Can't say I blame him.

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
I get it. I would have done the same.

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
He went full "Broward County". Lie, cheat, steal, break the law. Whatever it takes to win.

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Enough of what?

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
It's basic instinct to do something like that when your team is on fire.

Ever had one piercing your ears for 15 minutes? I have had my home security alarm go off due to malfunction and after 3 minutes of that crap it was ripped out of the wall. |

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Sounds like Trickery from the Bengals, trying to disrupt the Saints.
The only Fire it caused was a Backfire.. |
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
I am confused. Is this just a joke.
Did he break an alarm that was going off? I get it is annoying with the sound and that light. If this is true, he broke an alarm system off the wall, then oh great - real smart when the media gets this and of course, Saints- Ms. Gayle will will have to pay big for breaking this. ——————————————————————- Ok, I have to go read the link above. |
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Just as others have said, Sean smashed the fire alarm to shut it up, not to make it go off. Somebody needs to get their facts straight.
Secondly, Zach Strief stated during the radio broadcast of the game that Sean was initially denied entry to the stadium field Sunday because he wasn't wearing his field pass. Zach said Sean was told that if he did not show his sideline credentials that he would be removed from the sideline by security. Zach also said the Bengal's field pass is unusually large and cumbersome. I'm not sure which event happened first, the fire alarm distraction or the Nazi field pass enforcement, but I'm sure Sean was thoroughly annoyed. |

Also on the radio Zach Strief described the field passes were as "as big as bumper stickers" which is pretty big. Team coaches usually wear them or have them on their person, but once coaches get on the field they are generally not required to wear them because, well, like the players, it's obvious who they are. |
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
It appears that Ingram was aggravated by the Fire Alarms also, he ran like he was possessed all game..

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
I'm a commercial electrician and have installed plenty of those devices that he broke. It's called a horn strobe and it does NOT set off fire alarms when tampered with or broken which proves he did not set it off by smashing it. It's fairly inexpensive to replace and literally takes about 10 min. to do so. This story is ridiculous.

Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Sure it wasn't during the game and that the alarm was just the Bungles calling for the fire department to throw some water on the red hot Saints; offense.
|
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
The Rams turned it on and Payton simply **** it off!
|
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
fake news
 |
Re: Sean Payton Sets Off Fire Alarm
Much ado about nothing. My fault for making this thread before all the details came out. I thought he set off the alarm to “wake up” the team. Moving on.
