Dez Bryant doctor says ‘everything went well. A success.’

Dez Bryant underwent surgery, and a doctor appeared on the wide receiver’s Instagram video posted Tuesday (Nov. 13) to say “everything went well. A success. Nothing to worry about.”

The newly added New Orleans Saints player went on injured reserve Saturday after his reported Achilles tear Friday, two days after the team signed the former Dallas Cowboys wideout to a one-year contract.

The Saints on Monday signed veteran Brandon Marshall as a replacement for Bryant. Marshall and Bryant both worked out for the Saints last Tuesday.

In the video, a groggy Bryant said he just got out of surgery. ESPN reported an expected eight-month recovery time for Bryant, 30.

That was a close call for Dez... Hope everything works out for him.

Thanks for the memories, Dez.
No one can ever take away what we had.

Do you think he's done in NO?

I have to wonder. If he's looking for big or even moderately big money then yeah, I think he's gone. If he's willing to play for a ring (hopefully our 3rd by then) on an incentive-laden deal then I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a real shot in camp to stick around. We shall see...

I do.
He was a stopgap bc Ginn and Meredith are out. There will be cheaper, younger options available.

He did have a longer Saints career than that 400 lb lineman that could do backflips though.
