What could go right?

Well you knew this was coming. There are quite a few things that could happen this year to skyrocket this team up the charts and deep into the playoffs. Of course not all will happen, but I'm sure a few will.

1. Philadelphia realizes their DE situation isn't nearly as good as they'd hoped and early success by the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants force them to trade Corey Simon and a 2nd to the Saints for Darren Howard.

2. The new streamlined playbook is a huge success. The team clicks like a finely tuned machine. They nickname the new approach the "Riley Factor".

3. Deuce McAllister arrives to camp at a lean mean 225 lbs. He regains his speed and keeps his power.

4. The addition of Mayberry/Brown turn the Saints line in the best we've ever had. Deuce hires a personal therapist to help the soreness in his cheeks from smiling 24-7. He sets another new record for 100 yard games.

5. The new 1-2-dump-run approach is a huge success for Brooks. Less sacks, less fumbles, more fan support. He has his best year EVER.

6. Donte Stallworth takes another step forward and starts to show he's ready to be a #1 WR in this league.

7. Devery Henderson makes everyone forget about Pathon. He doesn't catch many, but does take it to the house when he does.

8. Shad Meier, a relatively unheralded signing, becomes the TE we've been waiting for since Haz arrived. Finally a good downfield receiver AND a good blocker. He becomes a key to Deuce's success as he torches defenses who cheat up.

9. Rodney Leisle (Swoll Daddy) takes command of the DT spot and becomes the run stopper we thought Sullivan was going to become.

10. Mike Karney is used both running and passing. He's now the "dump off" for most plays.

11. The Saints defense flies all over the field under the guidance of Willie Robinson. They remind everyone of the punishing Steelers defenses of the early Cowher years. The pressure from the front 7 turns this defensive backfield into a turnover magnet.

Ahhh, ain't the off-season great!!!
