I'd like to see him fully healed for the stretch run. In my perfect world, the Saints hold him this Thursday and next, and bring him back against the Bucs after the 10 day mini bye so that he can get some snaps in prep for the stretch run starting the week after.

Don't rush him back too soon. A toe injury can really linger.....just ask Ingram.

This would be a serious boost for a Saints defense that has really taken steps forward with Davenport sidelined. The unit has allowed scores of 7 and 14 points in the last two weeks while collecting 7 sacks, 5 interceptions, and holding their opponents to just 3 conversions on 16 third downs (30-percent).
