This is a pretty good read, but I do take exception with his claim that "There was some defense too." Three defensive TDs doesn't constitute "defense" when one team scores on every drive. Sometimes the offense scored, sometimes the defense scored, but it seemed like someone was always going to score. That said, there were seven punts in the game. Morstead has only punted 21 times...in 10 games. How do they score 105 points and still punt seven times? Quick scoring drives. This is how NO beats both these teams. They either score quick or punt. NO sustains long drives and scores on most possessions. Limiting possession time, limits scoring opportunities.
The Rams - Chiefs possession time was about even (Rams + 46 seconds). The Saints - Rams was a totally different story (Saints + 7:22). That's how you beat high powered offenses with questionable defenses. Play keep away. https://nypost.com/2018/11/20/the-da...ffensive-epic/ |
