Payton actually said he felt somewhat comfortable with a whole fourth quarter to go Thursday after Atlanta cut his lead to 24-10 late in the third. This from a man who watched lead after lead melt away late in games from 2011 through 2017.

I’m not. More comfortable, but unless we are 3 scores up in the 4th I’m still a little nervous.
