A little perspective
I was annoyed last night because I saw us not playing to our potential, but unlike my past pessimistic self - I got over it this morning and here's why.
I watched the 2006 Saints get a ton of success, then watched the 2007 and 08 team fail in mediocrity. I watched the highs of 2009/2010/2011/2013 and the lows of 2012 and 2014-2016, we have been there watching every single week and I have to say; Being 10-2 feels damn good at this point, our schedule was brutal from the offset and we chalked off 10 straight, ask the 2014-2016 versions of yourself what you'd do to see the Saints successful, those years were damn infuriating! Dallas exploited a weakness in our O line I didn't know we had, but now Payton knows and that bodes well for us. Dallas just played their Super Bowl and we held them to 13 points on their home turf, we will bounce back don't worry!! |

We also demonstrated that our D-line and linebackers are a package to recon with. 7 sacks are crazy, no matter who you're playing. |

Agreed on all points. |
Re: A little perspective
i'd go so far as to say this lost was probably needed. it stings because we all dislike dallas so much. but you know sean is going to seize on this opportunity to challenge the team and get them fired up to finish out this season. there's a possibility we run into chicago in the postseason. valuable lessons that could help in that scenario are being learned right now. and we even get a similar test w/ pittsburgh later this month. this is a huge opportunity to address weaknesses. as long as everyone's head is in the right direction, i think this team is in great shape.

Re: A little perspective
They played their best. We played our worst. And we still had a chance to win

Re: A little perspective
If the Saints had to lose, now is the time. They will rebound

Re: A little perspective
Drew played the worst game in his career and we still had a chance to win it.
that non call on the Kamara hit to the head was a major turning point |
