Terron Armstead returns to Saints practice
New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead returned to practice on Wednesday (Dec. 5), the first time he’s participated with his teammates since suffering a pectoral muscle injury in a Nov. 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Armstead sat out the past three games, but assuming he suffers no setbacks this week, his participation on Wednesday is a good sign he’ll be available for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Armstead was practicing during the portion of practice open to media, but the practice report released later Wednesday will detail whether he was limited or a full participant. https://i.nola.com/resizer/qo5zRKuwK...ASXWBMCXYA.JPG Meanwhile, wide receiver Michael Thomas was present but not participating while media was present. The practice report should provide clarity about his status. NOLA Right tackle Ryan Ramczyk was also present at practice Wednesday despite leaving last Thursday’s loss to the Cowboys with his arm in a sling. |

The Saints received a big boost when Terron Armstead returned to practice on Thursday. Armstead missed the last three games with a pectoral injury after injuring it against the Bengals. He was listed as being limited, alongside fellow tackle Ryan Ramczyk (shoulder) and defensive tackle David Onyemata (hip). Wide receiver Michael Thomas did not practice due to an ankle injury, though he was off to the side during the portion of practice open to media. Armstead is hoping to be able to play this week against Tampa Bay. "I'm trying, man. I'm trying," he said. "Pushing forward, working forward every day." While Armstead would have much rather been on the field and stayed in a rhythm with his teammates, he said the silver lining to missing some time is that it allowed the rest of his body to get healthy. "I've been battling injuries for a long time. Definitely hard to find the positives in an injury for me," Armstead said. "Thinking of it, I haven't played that many in a long time, in a row, so my body definitely has some things, bumps and bruises. I took the time and benefitted of it for sure, but I would have much rather been playing." |

Armstead out for Sunday
Assuming it's making sure he is right for the playoffs. But I never agreed before but if we could get a good trade player or something like a 1 doubtful or a 2 for him I'd probably take it. Love the guy but damn he misses a lot of games. Get Peat resigned and a top young guard in and save some cap for Thomas and Kamara |

$11.4 million in dead cap if he's cut next year
