Report: Marshon Lattimore fined $13,369 for donating $23
I 100% agree with Elliott!
New Orleans Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore was fined $13,369 by the NFL after he dropped $23 into an oversized Salvation Army kettle during his game against the Dallas Cowboys, per Nick Underhill of the Advocate. Lattimore’s stunt was a reference to a previous donation of $21 by Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott into the big jar in the end zone of AT&T Stadium, referencing their jersey numbers. https://i.nola.com/resizer/MM2pHHc6k...KMJHMPY2Y4.jpg Elliott was also fined $13,369 by the NFL when he performed the celebration, though he has since appealed. The young Cowboys star later matched his touchdown celebration with another $21,000 to the Salvation Army, which reported a spike of other donations up to $180,000 the following day. Lattimore hasn’t spoken yet on his own fine, but Elliott probably summed up his feelings in a conversation with reporters after receiving his letter from the league: “I mean I didn’t really expect a fine, really don’t care about the fine. It’s all for a good cause and we’re trying to bring awareness to the Salvation Army and if the NFL doesn’t like that, then, I mean, that’s on them. I’ll pay their little fine.” https://saintswire.usatoday.com/2018...-alvin-kamara/ |

Then why were the buckets near the endzone in the first place?? You know if fans started throwing money in it the refs would throw a flag on their team for throwing objects on the field.

This is an entirely new low for the shield. Fining players for donating to a cause that helps people in times of need. The people responsible for handing out these fines should be going to hell.

This would actually be a funny EZ skit. Fake ringing a bell, some make a circle with their hands and someone drop money in it.

Free commercial for The Salvation Army. Consistently dumb by the NFL.
