What a run to tie the record with, Deuce would be proud of that type of run.

Quick side step when McCoy got penetration, run through 2 tackles and dragged a defender 5 yards into the end zone.

6,000 rushing yards leads the Saints all-time. That's amazing and sad considering all the talented guys that have carried the rock for the Saints.

His first couple of years I never thought Ingram would come close to Deuce but he has really developed over the last couple of years.

One of the main factors that limited Ingram in the earlier portion of his career was the rebuild and that one season where the team was decimated by injuries. Over that period the Saints were forced to go to the air far more often as the defense was historically bad. He was also keyed upon by defenses because of the predictable offensive playcalling. His personal improvement in the passing game and the addition of an equally dangerous back in Kamara has eliminated that predictability.

Plus I think huge expectations were placed on him immediately by fans, which was unfair due a number of points

- His rookie year we had Ingram, PT23, Sproles and Ivory
- As you mentioned defenses keyed on him and Payton at that time was far too predictable, it was Ingram up the gut whenever he was in.

Glad he and Kamara are part of this team, the team rolls when those two are feeling it.

With how slow he started out for us, he has lower mileage than his peers of the same age. Lucky us. Just how much will he want on his next contract is going to be interesting.

People seem to forget, but the year after we traded up for Mark, was when all the fines, suspensions, etc. were levied due to bountygate. I have always viewed it as essentially a "free pick" we would have lost anyway.

Bittersweet....Deuce has kinda quietly been my secret all-time favorite Saint, for a while now, ever since that ridiculous run against the Eagles in the playoffs in 06 where he moved the pile and carried half the Eagles defensive team down the field with him. But records are made to be broken, so, you go get 'em Mark.

But when u had John mecom as a tight watt owner of all time he dumped #1 picks not to pay them because we had another #1 in the overall draft the next year after year after year

I have to admit when I’m wrong about a player mark has earned his keep I just would go ballistics when we couldn’t convert a first down with a foot to go the rebuild online made the difference

I've been a fan of Mark for a long time. He gives you everything & then some.

Awesome team mate, no one wants to win more than him. Team/locker room guy. His best friend is AK.

I know the Saints can't pay everyone, however he's one guy I hope sticks around in Black and Gold.
