Saints linebacker Demario Davis fined nearly $27k for helmet-to-helmet hit vs. Buccaneers
The NFL fined New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis $26,739 for unnecessary roughness in last Sunday’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In the second quarter, Davis received a penalty for lowering his head to initiate contact when he tackled Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber after a 2-yard gain. Tampa Bay center Ryan Jensen was not fined for his unnecessary roughness penalty in the game in which he had an extracurricular hit on Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone. NOLA | |
