Re: Rarely Seen, Player No. 6 is the Most Efficient in League
Not a big fan for over-paying for punters, but I'll say this regarding Morstead...
One - he does his job, very efficient in getting it done despite rarely seeing the field (which is a good thing)... Two - he does positive community work that brings folks together rather than snarky political commentary crap that divides fans... In this day and age, you can't ask more of an NFL punter... |

"Morstead is the best punter in the league & he don't even punt" - Mark Ingram.
Just show em your SB ring Thomas. |

Re: Rarely Seen, Player No. 6 is the Most Efficient in League
Does anybody else remember this, from the Pittsburgh game?
4th & 11 at NO 46 (7:03 - 2nd) T.Morstead punts 46 yards to PIT 8, Center-Z.Wood, downed by NO-J.Hardee. PENALTY on NO-J.Hardee, Illegal Touch Kick, 5 yards, enforced at NO 46 - No Play. 4th & 16 at NO 41 (6:51 - 2nd) T.Morstead punts 56 yards to PIT 3, Center-Z.Wood, out of bounds. Saints line up to punt, and Morstead drops it on the 8. Oh wait, there's a penalty, Pittsburgh says back him up and make him punt it again....this time Morstead drops it on the Pittsburgh 3. I mean come on. That is insane. Morstead is one of the best in the biz. And he cuts his hair and does St Baldrick's every year. What is not to love about that. |
