Historic 11-minute, 29-second drive moves Saints to NFC title game

NEW ORLEANS -- The drive had a little bit of everything. Most importantly, it had a lot of New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas.

It took 18 plays, gained 92 yards and lasted 11 minutes, 29 seconds -- the longest postseason drive by any team in at least 20 years, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. It was the longest drive of any Saints game, regular or postseason, in that same time span.

11 minute drive? That's unheard of and exactly how you take the will away from the opponent. Philly players were tired 2nd half.

I thought the O line played well tonight. Andrus Peat must play better next week.

Not allowing them to score for 3 quarters was a lot better.

That drive and the crowd. Both were critical. Their D was wiffed and once their cold offense got back on the field the crowd let em' have it.

They held the ball for almost the whole freaking 3rd quarter. When do you ever see that happen. I mean really. Almost never. Amazing drive. The 46 yard rainbow to Kamara was a thing of beauty, one of the a great pass, but it didn't count, and then Brees was like, OK refs, if you won't let us do it that way, our way, then we will do it the boring and slow way, using only plays that you and your referee buddies can wrap your tiny widdle referee brains around, so you can handle it. And then they did.

Peat got manhandled. They need to come up with a better blocking scheme vs Donald/Suh...we can't depend on him one on one with anyone right now.

He should be forced to watch all his penalties Clockwork Orange style all week.

The "Drive"

Man, I was lit up like a Christmas tree. This a was..well...football. This has to go down as one of the greatest drives in the history of the game.

Epic Drive

A look at the 18-play touchdown drive that gave the Saints the lead for the first time Sunday against the Eagles. It was the longest scoring drive in the playoffs in the last 20 seasons.
