I just see a bunch of hype... you can believe and assume the hype is real but in the long run when you assume you... ???

Before the thread gets locked, I'll weigh in briefly.
Haslett has a problem figuring out what weight his RBs should play at. It seems like every season he has been here, Haslett has wanted the RB to either gain or lose weight and then griped about the result at midseason. Ricky was supposed to gain weight, then he was too slow--no breakaway speed.. Deuce was supposed to gain weight to avoid injury, then he was too heavy. Then Deuce was supposed to lose weight for more speed, then he was too fragile. Then Deuce had to gain weight again and then he was "fat and out of shape". Now Deuce is supposed to lose weight and hit the hole faster. Can't we all just agree that Haslett can't make up his mind about what kind of size the RB needs to be and leave it at that? |
Good point BMG. THAT seems like a reasonable inference. I can go with that more than "He LOOKED slower and fat." I am always ready to blame anything on Haslett.

Better yet, try and read the post. That helps when trying to refute someones point. But I expect no less from you. |

The way he wants to use his RB (lead blocker, lone back, screens??) The defensive personnel strategy that he wants to employ (Big, no Fast, no Big... big and fast??? Athletes, no football player... no.. athletic football players??) The team's overall direction (rebuild, gel, change nothing, add key players, change the coaching staff... er?) How to find a decent DT. How to find a decent LB. How to find the 1,000 yard #2 WR he had in Willie Jackson who he cut. How to have a decent backup QB. How to give a straight answer to a question. etc. |
