I know he would like to play. It's gotta be psychologically rough for a veteran like him, knowing it might be one of your last games ever and to miss it for decidedly non-football reasons. But obviously you do not want to go getting trucked by a linebacker at full speed, with a flamed up appendix inside you. Quite frankly I'm glad he's figured out the medical issue, and is sitting it out. But that does suck. Hope he mends up and is alright.

Too late to re-sign Marshall? Kirkwood out is going to hurt. Not that he is a super star but he was a threat they had to respect. Smith has been very quiet. Time for him to step up. I just wish we had a jack of all trades type player we could plug in at WR every now and then.

I knew something was up when we signed that guy off the street earlier in the week. No reason to do that now unless there is a problem.

Kirkwood is a heavy hit. He was coming around. Great hands, just the route running was off. Smith has to man up. Ginn has to fight for balls instead of expecting gifts. Probably see more Kamara as a WR with Ingram in the backfield.

With Watson and Kirkwood out, it provides Carr, TLL, and Arnold with opportunities. It provides Payton with with some different plays and looks. It makes it harder for the Rams to prepare. A couple of big plays and first downs could easily be the difference in the game.
