It wasn't our year
So you may recall why I was not so optimistic before this season, and right after our loss to Minnesota. Our loss ended the NFC South's SB run, and it was not gonna just come right back. I knew LAR was winning the NFC almost all offseason. I even knew we would lose to them. The NFC is a merry-go-round conference with divisions. It's a wait-your-turn conference.
We may have been robbed, but Carolina and Atlanta blew out their NFCCG opponents. We had to deal with a team that got in our heads. It would have been better if we turned it around when Seattle died down some, but we waited until other teams started to rebuild. If Brees does not have the patience to wait until the NFC South's next turn, then he may have to settle for one ring. In 2016, we could have had the 1 seed if we didn't try to sign AP. We wouldn't have played Minnesota on MNF week 1. I don't know why I'm doing this but I am frustrated with our contending when other teams are. |
