Ben Watson Calls Out Goodell
|
Re: Ben Watson Calls Out Goodell
Watson pens a very apropos open letter - what everyone misses is that Goodell is a glorified bureaucrat, not a Leader...
Saw this quite often growing up in a service fraternity among our adult leadership... |
Re: Ben Watson Calls Out Goodell
Ben plans on retiring... Can you imagine his career ending like this??

Watson, it the perfect spokesperson for this crime against the sport. The man is respected in and out of football. He is passionate about things he believes in and speaks eloquently about injustices, whether they occur on and off the football field. I hope he becomes the raven in Goodell's brain, constantly whispering, ever louder, "Never More". |

Benjamin Watson... New NFL Commissioner!
|
Re: Ben Watson Calls Out Goodell
It's quite possible that the filing of the lawsuit against him and the NFL effectively "gags" him.

Re: Ben Watson Calls Out Goodell
"From the locker room to Park Avenue" -- what Watson is really saying here is, "WE THE PLAYERS have integrity, do you?" That is actually a very powerful statement. He is going from the locker room right to the cushy and posh NFL offices of the top executive and calling them out.

I guess we will find out on the SB media days next week. He can't hide for too much longer. Hopefully the press comes in with the hard blunt questions he deserves, no soft serve BS. I usually could care less about SB media days, but this year will be interesting. |
Re: Ben Watson Calls Out Goodell
Goodell should immediately implement review for calls or no calls on PI. There's no time to discuss it in committee, but that's no excuse. For once, he needs to use that power he loves so much to actually do something good for the game. Give the coaches an additional challenge per half and automatic booth reviews in the last two minutes of each half, starting with the Super Bowl. Leaving the possibility open for the same thing we saw Sunday to EVER happen again, starting now, is unacceptable. Then throw it over to the competition committee to work out a more comprehensive permanent solution in the offseason.
