Dennis Allen Emerges as Bengals DC Candidate

I know, I know... Why would he even consider a lateral move to a way worse team? His contract with us is up though. We have plenty of good in-house candidates to replace him.

DA has emerged and solidified the Saints D, don't see him going to the Bengals.

Parallel Move? That'd be interesting...

Cincy though? Of the ****tiy organizations in the nfl, they are one of the ****tiest. Don’t get it.

Why make a lateral move AWAY from a contender you built? Makes no sense.

I’m not a huge Dennis Allen fan. I can’t stand how he doesn’t game plan until halftime. Yes, his adjustments are great, but I wish our defense would come out and impose their will from the get-go.

Mike Brown is so tight his butt squeaks when he walks. Had a flight to JKF a few years ago. Got in line for a cab and who walks up behind me? Mike Brown. The owner of the Bungles and he’s waiting for a cab. No limo.

Nobody goes to Cinci for more money. It’s where coaches go to die.

I'm not a hater, but I have zero doubt there are other coaches around who could get more out of the players the Saints have on the defensive roster - that is if Allen decided to walk or the Saints don't extend his contract.

Now let’s just embrace the fact that the commissioner and every other fan base hates us and go full-on villain. Invoke the 70’s Raiders defensively and just bust heads. Everybody else does it to Alvin Kamara anyway and gets away with it.

Let's agree to disagree on GW, however at this writing it appears that DA has signed an extension.

Us against the world? Works for the Patriots, works for me...

Ok so they didn’t get Dennis Allen, but now they’re looking at Mike Nolan:

https://saintswire.usatoday.com/2019...mpression=true

The Cincinnati Bengals have interest in interviewing New Orleans Saints linebackers coach Mike Nolan for their open defensive coordinator position, per a report from Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. Cincinnati previously considered meeting with Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen for the opening, but Allen elected to re-sign with New Orleans instead.

This is way more likely than Dennis Allen. Please don’t do it Mike!

We all knew it was coming. The turnaround on the Saints defense has Nolan's finger prints all over it.

Wouldn't surprise me if he eventually secures the job in Cincy. I hope he doesn't but I'll understand.

Re: Dennis Allen Emerges as Bengals DC Candidate

Allen had an awful run as a head coach, so a healthy 3 yr deal with a contender as DC makes sense. Another good year and he'll be up for HC jobs though

Can we give up Allen and keep Mike Nolan?

The most important coach on defense right now is Mike Nolan...
