Worst Super Bowl Ever

The NFL deserved this. LA, their coach, and everybody on the Rams, deserved this. Roger deserved this. And it still doesn't feel like enough, but boy oh boy did it ever suck!

Didn't waste my time watching the game but from what I have read it may go down as the worst in history. Karma is a *****.
So from what I can gather is that Gladys Knight was the only highlight of the night.

That honestly helped a little bit to witness that LIIE..
3-0 final would've been much better, but I liked that they thought that they had a chance at times in the game, just to be Deflated over and over, crushing all hope! lol Watched it on a bootleg stream on phone out on the road and hopefully my viewing didn't reflect one ounce of help to any rating.I had to watch and pull for them to fall and they sure didn't disappoint!

One hit blunders would be nice with Mcvay aging faster next season with teams defenses giving him fits..suckas.

I wanted yesterday to be a crappy day for Roger Goodell. It was. He defiantly and unapologetically delivered a stinker of a game. He showed no remorse nor any intention of preventing the refs from deciding games in the future and then got booed off the stage afterward. He failed to get the attendance boost going forward in Los Angeles that a win for the Rams would have delivered. The Pats did nothing spectacular or memorable to win the game or add to their legacy other than dusting off one more place on the mantle. Yet at the end of another season, everyone except the Pats has been had, so everyone outside of New England is more jaded about the NFL. It was darn near perfect.

So glad Gladys Knight ignored the social media bullying led by CNN's resident racist Don Lemon - that woman is a national treasure for ALL and she made us proud once again...

So happy for her and that great performance...

First Super Bowl since 1978 I haven't watched. Yesterday felt surreal. It pains me so much how this game has changed for the worse.

#NOLA has spoken.

Super Bowl LIII earned a 26.1 rating in New Orleans, the lowest of of any market and the lowest ever in New Orleans.

Probably not the popular opinion, but I didn't mind the game. The Patriots put on a defensive clinic - coverage was lock down. They mixed it up wonderfully with the pass rushes and stunts and playcalls. They were excellent in their run gaps and refused to let the Rams get anything but moderate rushing yardage on almost every play. It's something we should aspire to - if we can take the next step on the defensive side and become a little more consistent and the refs get the hell out of the way, great things could be in store.

I am stunned that there were that many people watching in NO. 26% of all households? Treasonous.

Read a story that when Brian was a senior in college, he mailed letters to all 32 teams explaining why he should work in the league NFL.

Only one team (Patriots) responded :smokin:.

Good luck down in South Beach.

We popped a couple bottles of wine, cracked a few beers, put some music on, filled the smoker with ribs, and played cards with the family. It was a super Sunday!!

Was there a football game scheduled?

Same here. I enjoyed the game for back and forth defense. It felt like a game out of the 1970's. Reminded me a lot of the Pittsburgh/Minnesota SB where the final score was 16-6. Had the Patriots gotten those dropped INTs, the fumble that went out of bounds and maybe scored a few more times, it may have ended up being a worse one sided SB than Dallas/Miami in 1971 where the final score was 24-3.

It felt like SB 50 in a way. That game had horrendous QB play but was entertaining for moments with back and forth defensive dominance.

Like SB 50 with the corpse of Peyton Manning out there unable to do anything, the Pats could've rained touchdowns on the Rams if a youthful Brady had showed up.

Defense still wins championships, just as long as the offense can do something. All the Patriots needed was ONE touchdown scoring drive.

As a fan though, I was disappointed that there wasn't a single player on the Patriots defense who could've won SB MVP. At least in SB 50, Miller had the sack/fumble for a TD and the sack/fumble to seal the game at the end. Edleman had the yards, but zero TDs. I thought McCourty should've got SB MVP. He had 2 sacks, several tackles and was disruptive all night.

I would love to see Brees get a ring the way Manning and Brady did - all defense doing the heavy lifting. If you ask me, we owe that to Brees to pay him back for all the years he carried the Saints when we had atrocious defenses. They owe it to him to send him out a champion with a dominant performance and not having to rely on him to pull miracles.
