I'm over it too.

Look, as bummed out as we all were about losing in the playoffs, something was just not right with this team for the past month and a half.

I don't know what it was, but something broke in week 10 in that Dallas game and whatever fell apart, it was never fixed.

The offense was never the same again after week 10. Dallas showed a formula for taking away our main two weapons on offense (Kamara and MT) and thus in turn, Brees was forced to try and pick teams apart with a cast of no-names that were barely threatening at all to opposing defenses. This wasn't a stacked offense like 2009, 2011 or even the 2016 team. Outside of Kamara and Thomas, we had no other weapons to rely on. Kamara and MT were the main factors of this offense. MT was the highest rated WR this year in AV on Pro-Football-Reference.

We scored 10, 28, 12 and 31 in our final games. I don't add week 17 cause Brees rested and that wasn't much more than an exhibition game. Brees' TD/INT ratio was 7-5 in that final stretch. The offense went from averaging 31 points a game down to 19.

Remember that Tampa Bay game? We were getting our butts kicked until the defense stepped up and forced a blocked punt. That was the turning point of that game. The defense completely bailed us out against Carolina too and later on against Pittsburgh.

The defense really stepped up in the second half of the season and when our offense collapsed, we were relying on the defense to win games and for a while, they were doing it! They bailed us out against Tampa, Carolina and Pittsburgh.

I had a very bad feeling before the Rams game just based off how bad the offense looked against the Eagles. We would've got blown out that night if not for the defense stepping up and completely shutting down Foles and the RPO which I was worried would give us issues. The Eagles had less than 90 yards for 3 quarters and yet our offense just barely managed to put just enough points on the board (20) and yet, Philly still had a shot to win that game in the end.

The offense didn't exactly play well against the Rams and we did blow a 13 point lead, despite eventually being robbed in the end.

The Rams looked like they had absolutely ZERO business being in the SB the other night and they didn't even have fans who wanted to show up. Did you hear the crowd in that game? It sounded like the Patriots were playing at Foxboro. Brady after the game even thanked the fans, saying the team felt like they were at home.

Think of all the mediocre/flukey teams that have reached the SB in the past and were blown out. Teams like the 1986 Patriots, 1989 Broncos and 1994 Chargers, these teams at least scored more than 3 points in the big game going up against juggernaut teams that destroyed them. That Patriots team was so mediocre on offense and they still got to 10 points against one of the GOAT defenses.

This wasn't the 1985 Bears or 2000 Ravens, but Jared Goff played so badly, that the Patriots looked like that! Goff has been exposed as a fraud, seriously. If he don't have McVay telling him what to audible and where to throw the ball, he's completely lost. He looked like a deer starring at headlights that whole game.

Even when it was tied 3-3, it never felt close. The Patriots had 2 dropped INTs on tipped balls, one of them would've put them in the red zone and they had a fumble that went out of bounds. If they don't miss their first FG attempt, they could've went for a second one before half time and been up 9-0. This game would've been a blow out if they get those turnovers and/or if a youthful Brady had showed up that game (seriously, Brady played bad like Peyton Manning in his last SB), the Pats would've rained touchdowns on them.

I am not sure we would've beat the Patriots in the SB, depending on match ups and all that, but I do know for a fact that Brees definitely would've scored more than 3 freaking points. It would've been a better SB than this.

The pain still hurts, but I am happy the Rams were exposed as FRAUDS. Jared Goff would be Ryan Tannehill if he didn't have his coach telling him what to audible and where to throw the ball pre-snap. Something happened with Goff half way in the season where teams figured this out and began to expose him. The Bears showed how it was done and the Patriots did it too.

The Rams aren't winning a SB with Goff and I don't think McVay is the "future of the NFL" either. I'd hate to be a fan of any of the teams who just hired a young coach who talked to him. Would not be shocked if they are an 8-8 or 9-7 at best team next year. Seattle will be improved next year and will most likely give them a run for the NFC West.

If we can get some more receivers and keep improving on defense, we have a shot.
