Re: It's been Nine Years Already Since Saints Superbowl Championship
This coming season will be the 10th anniversary of our SB win.
I hope we break out the white jerseys and gold pants when we play the Colts in the dome. Hopefully that is a SNF or MNF prime time game. |

This is as good as place as any to post this.
If the Saints would have made it to the Super Bowl in 2011, 2017 and this year they would have all been against the Patriots. Being a homer I will always believe that the Saints would be 4-0 in Super Bowls and three of those wins would have been against Brady. |

So, we need to win it all on our 10th anniversary.

Honestly the way this League is, I never thought I would live long enough to see us win one.
And think about it we were up against Peyton Manning one of the Leagues Darlings. I guess it was to much for the Zebras to call back Tracy's interception. |

Had the Vikings got there, I have little doubt that the Colts would've rolled that team and stomped them. They would've been a 6-10 team at best without Favre there carrying them. Favre at 40 years old having an MVP caliber year was the only reason they even got to the NFCCG in the first place. That Vikings team was similar to the 2008 Cards who were carried by an old Kurt Warner playing at a high level. 6 fumbles in the NFCCG, SIX!!!! They weren't that good and that was the outlier year of Peterson's career where he was a fumble machine. Peterson led the league in fumbles of a non-QB player. He had 4 fumbles against us, but they luckily recovered 2 of them. His fumbles are the reason that Favre decided to move away from running the ball and try to win it on his own and even then, their receivers kept fumbling. That Vikings team didn't have the level of talent of the Packers, who went on to win the SB the next year with mostly the same offense from Favre's last year there. The Colts would've rolled them and with a hobbled Favre, he wouldn't have played as well as he did during that season. Minnesota's o-line was poor and I'm sure even with a hobbled Freeney, they would've wrecked havoc on them. I've always believed the Colts would've got off to a hot start 7-0 (like they did against us), then the Vikings turn it over and it would've got ugly fast. Final score would've been something like 34-17. A boring blow out SB. |
