John Ross - I say bring him in. 7 TDs last year.

Young and super fast. 7 TDz is way better than anything else we have. Our coaches and MT could help him a lot.

Add in C.J. Uzomah at TE and we’re #1 in offense again

21 catches on 58 targets (36.2% catch rate) with a league high 25% drop rate.

IDK, from what I've read on Cincy blogs, John is fast as hell but hands of stone. We saw enough of that with Tre last season.

Not sure the Saints would be interested.

Ginn was awful too for several years and Devery Henderson.

That is accurate however Brees is 40. 2019 season could be that last big push & SB run. Sean Payton/Curtis J don't have the luxury of time to correct the "drops".

This has been the story of the Saints for the past 4 years as Brees has aged. I feel like last year was our last real shot at getting Brees another ring.

Why can Brady do it at 42 and Brees can't do it at 40?

I really feel like the Saints organization should have either been to at least 3 Super bowls with a minimum of 2 rings.

2011 San Fran/Alex Smith debacle
2018 (missed tackle away from NFCCG)
2019 (blatant non call vs Lambs)

Cha ching .. let's see how things play out in Free Agency & then subsequent draft.

I think we still have a very strong nucleus of guys returning.

Devery Henderson - Curtis Johnson.

Devery was literally nothing but a deep threat with questionable hands before Curtis worked with him.

Once Curtis sorted him, Devery played a huge role for years and especially in the superbowl. The Colts took away every deep pattern and Devery made several huge chain moving catches to keep drives alive.

Screws and Anchors in his chest and Brees has thrown more passes than Brady over his career.

Bound to have taken its toll over the years.

Probably an unpopular opinion and may get flamed, but Brees was a big reason why the offense slowed down near the end of the season.

After the Dallas game he became indecisive and lacked any real zip on the ball. He missed a ton of throws vs the Rams when he just pulled the trigger on his first read without scanning the field.

Not only no but hell no....injury bug, drops the ball. Speed is cool, but ya gotta lace the cleats and not drop the ball

No...
We can not use speed WR.. we need rout runners and physical guys that can catch.
Brees cannot throw deep with any accuracy, getting a speedy guy isn’t going to help.

I would say they keyed heavily on MT later in the season. All he really had was MT and Kamara. Ross is worth a 6 IMO. Drew can get it 30+ yards downfield. Not like he did in 2009-2011, but he can still get it out there. We have always had a posession WR at #1, a 9-route burner at #2, a quick slot receiver with hands. No Snead, Meredith washed out, and Ginn is getting long in the tooth. Ross and Uzomah are 2 inexpensive pick ups.

I'm not familiar with him but it sounds like his stats aren't impressive. The drops concern me. Curtis Johnson has fixed several players, so the whoopin' stick might work with John Ross too. However, I agree that we need a possession receiver more than a deep threat.

John Ross ran 4.22 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine to break Chris Johnson's record of 4.24 set back in 2008.

He's fast, real fast. He's also 5'11" and 190 pounds. 10 pounds heavier than Ginn.

I wouldn't trade anything for him but if he was to become a FA I'd take a look.
