Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors

I'm not the biggest fan of Brown's diva personality but this would put us as the #1 super bowl contender. With that being said, it would be interesting how Loomis makes his happen |
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
He would be a locker room cancer from hell. We spent 3 years getting rid of those on our team.
That would not make us the #1 Super Bowl contender either. AB would be an upgrade to our WR corps, but everything hinges on how Brees is going to play at 40 years old and what happens with the defense. Brees looked pretty bad in the final month of the season, playoffs included and the defense has made some drastic improvements but there are still big question marks looming over them. |
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
AB isn't coming to NO. The Raiders or the 49ers can have him.
|
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
SP normally avoids these type of players, don't see it happening.
|
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
It's not going to happen. That being said, I don't think AB is the locker room cancer that he's portrayed to be. He does have the big head, but most WRs do for some reason. There is obviously a problem in Pittsburgh with the way things are run. I think Ben Roethlisberger escapes blame a bit too easy.

Big Ben is definitely one of the main problems with Pittsburgh. He has gotten his OC's fired and has installed his puppets on the coaching staff. This is why Pittsburgh is so unbalanced on offense. They worship Big Ben and let him do whatever he wants to run the offense. The real problem is Mike Tomlin. He is too focused on being a "players coach" to reign ANY discipline whatsoever on that team. They have a culture of narcissism, worshiping their players, rather than maintained control in the locker room. People give Tomlin too much of a pass cause "he's never had a losing record", but Pittsburgh has been a pretty disappointing team for a while now and eventually, people have to start looking at the person in charge of the team that has led to this point. Last year, they had that big problem with James Harrison. People were so quick to bash Harrison for signing with New England to try and get a ring, but there was a huge difference - Harrison wasn't a problem with the Patriots. Bill B wasn't in the media calling him "lazy" and putting him on suspension. That's evidence in itself that Tomlin is the problem. |
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
Can't afford him + Mike + Kamara + Ingram + .........
|
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
He'll fit right in with Jimmy Garoppolo and Malcom Butler.
|
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
Due diligence, nothing more. We’re about to give Mike a 5yr/$100mil deal.
|
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
Really hope we don’t get him... way too much money for what his production would be. He wouldn’t be a good fit either.

Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
We simply can not afford him. We have young talent that will want to get paid and deserve a lucrative contract. Even Loomis can't make all the numbers work.
It would be great to take some of the pressure off Thomas but I really believe that a slot receiver/tight end is where we should pony up in the free agent market. Drew needs a release valve not named Alvin Kamara. Teams can scheme to take away MT or AK but if Drew has one more good option he'll find someone open and we can finish drives better. |

The only thing worse than getting him would be getting AOC for cheerleader. https://media1.tenor.com/images/e7f1...temid=13216290 |

AB would be worse than Cry Baby Brandin Cooks.
"Closed mouths don't get fed" and all that. |
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
I think we should offer a 5th for him now.

I didn't want Dez Bryant either but looked what happened there. Never say never.
|
Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
It would be a 1 year deal if it ever happens with an option packed longer deal if brees retires after the next Super Bowl win. We can’t afford the worm really

Re: Saints and Raiders apparently among the Antonio Brown suitors
Sign Ingram now! He deserves to stay in New Orleans with all of his hard work and team first mentality.
