Brees still at the top of NFL QBs
 
After the NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints are on my mind. Everyone knows Drew Brees is in back part of his career. Amazingly some season ticket holders near me criticize Drew. One article said Brees had the lowest passing yds per game for his Saints tenure at 266 ypg. With a stronger running game and a winning team Drew doesn't have to pass as much. When you have the lead you don't pass quite as frequently either. We know stats can say whatever you want, but CHECK OUT 2018 numbers for DREW BREES! 1st in QB Record 13-2, 1st in Game Winning Drives 7, 1st in Fourth Qtr Comebacks 6, 1st in Comp % 74.4, 1st in QB Rating 115.7. 2nd in Least Ints 5, 2nd in Net yds/ Att 7.65, 2nd in Sack % 3.4, 3rd in TD % 6.5%. That is an unreal year! Enjoy the prolific QB and his skills as long as we can. AMAZING!!! (ESPN)

And all of that with 1 reliable receiver. Improve at the #2 and #3 receivers and upgrade the tight end spot and his numbers will get even better.

You made a great point that is often lost on folks, including MVP voters, on how Drew's evolution is not all based on passing numbers...
