Muncie was the biggest star we had besides Archie before Rickey Jackson was drafted and later the Dome Patrol players.

Here is an advertisement he did in 1977 endorsing PPG glasses.

So basically our team was comprised of a bunch of crackheads. Funny , you would think they would get on the field and rip people’s heads off.
I often think to myself how much more fun this sport would be to watch if ALL the players were allowed to get all coked out during the game. Just give them a water cooler full of it and black and gold straws.

Put an 8 ball of coke by the goal post and it was an instant TD.

Read up on Lawrence Taylor sometime. The stories of his drug abuse are absurd and it was all during the prime of his career (I believe he first admitted back in 1987). LT has confessed before to getting high on coke before games and he was often suspended for failing drug tests. It was no secret back in the day that he was loaded up.

This game was against us, LT tore his shoulder and yet returned to the game... He had 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and is flying all over the place like a man possessed. I have long wondered if he was coked up that night.
