It's his only chance to get paid for sure. I wouldn't imagine it would be too "team-friendly". But, it isn't the annual salary that counts. It is the guaranteed amount.

As good as Thomas is if he is demanding 22 mil a year I’d trade him. Get as much as you can and ship him off. Let another team go into cap hell. Pretty sure they could get a bunch of early picks for him

You have to win while you have your star players on rookie contracts. Pay MT top dollar now while we still have Kamara, Lattimore, Ramczyk, Rankins, etc on rookie deals. We won’t be able to keep them all.

Maybe in the NBA, but not in the NFL.

Thomas is a proven vet who in many rankings is considered top 3 at his position & you want to trade him for a 1st rd selection who hasn't shown you anything ?

Mike will get paid in New Orleans, and deserving of everything he's got coming to him.

I understand he is a top wideout. But what about when brees is gone? Will he still produce? Highly doubtful he will come close to the same numbers

21-22 million will be the new standard very, very soon.
We don't want to be the team that let a top-3 receiver go because of an extra 3 million a year

Not at 22 million. Id rather sign AK and some solid cheaper Wr. Again, I know he's a beast but we have been in cap hell recently and It's not going to get any better with signings like this.
